About the festival:
BAMA 4th International Summer Piano Festival has partnered with Royal Conservatory of Music (Canada) andToronto Steinway Gallery this year in Toronto. We welcome students all ages, and from all countries. This program has designed for piano students from intermediate level to professional level. Through this program, students will be able to take private piano lessons and and open to public masterclass, participate lectures, take chamber music lessons, group drama classes, and will be able to enjoy at least four recitals given by our artists.
Participants will also be able to perform at Final Grande Concert, and will be offering scholarship prizes to outstanding performers.

Winner of the 2008 Gina Bachauer international Young Artist Piano Competition, Sijing Ye has appeared as soloist with Fort Worth Symphony under Maestro Miguel Harth Bedoya, Big Spring Symphony under Maestro John Giordano, Xia Men Philharmonic Orchestra under Maestro Shi Jun Wang, Miami International Piano Festival Orchestra and Maestro William Noll.
Sijing has given multiple recitals in many major music halls within the U.S, China and Europe, which includes George Weston Recital Hall at the Toronto Center for Arts, Koerner Hall in Toronto, Grossen Saal in Switzerland, MozartHaus in Wien, Pater Martin Saal in Germany, Conservatory Hall of Bolzano in Italy, Atheneum Roman Music Hall in Bucharest, Benedict Music Tent in Aspen, Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, Lincoln Theatre in Miami Beach, Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Peter Jay Sharp and Paul Recital Hall of Lincoln Center in New York, Beijing Music Hall, ZhongShan Music Hall, and Hong Kong City Concert Hall.
Sijing, also the winner of multiple awards, that include the First Prize at Gina Bachauer International Young Artist Piano Competition, of Salt Lake City, U.S.A.; winner of the Academic Piano Concerto Competition at the Aspen International Music Festival; First place at the 69th Steinway and Sons International Children and Youth Piano Competition; First Prize at the Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest; Second Prize at the Canadian Chopin Competition, and Winner of Orchestra Toronto Concerto Competition Marta Hidy Prize.
Born in Southern China, Sijing began studying piano at age six, went on to study at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing under Bao Hui Qiao. In 2004, when Sijing was 12, she won the Second Prize at the Gina Bachauer International Junior Piano Competition. When she was 13, She was accepted to Curtis Institute of Music. In 2006, She moved to New York to study with Yoheved Kaplinsky at the Juilliard school with full scholarship, where she graduated in 2010. Sijing has received her diploma in Piano Performance(Bachelor) and Artist Diploma with Mr.John Perry at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto with full scholarship; Sijing also received her Soloist in Master in Basel Academy for Music, Switzerland with Professor Fillipo Gamba and Claudio Martinez Mehner. In addition, Sijing was also a student of Dang Thai Son and Hung Kuan Chen.
In 2016, Sijing founded the Bellissimo Academy for Music and Arts (BAMA) , and “BAMA International Piano Festival.” The Festival artists include world well-known pianists Dang Thai Son, Sofya Gulyak, James Anagnoson, Sachen, Boris Putrushansky, Francesco Libetta, Ilya Itin, and Giselle Brodsky.
Sijing has served on juries at multiple international and local piano competitions; including 11th Moscow International Frederick Chopin Competition for Young Pianists, Marta Hidy Prize Concerto Competition in Canada, Elevato International Piano Competition(Salzburg), and CCC Toronto Music Competition. In 2020-2021, Sijing will serve on juries on Hong Kong International Piano Competition for Youth and Canadian North York Music Festival and Competition. She has given masterclasses in the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Canada and China.
